Our Beautiful Barn Conversion Holiday Cottages
We know that sometimes you have a vision in mind for the kind of holiday cottage you’re looking for during your time here in Cornwall. This could be a tiny home, a characterful historic cottage, a bijou flat, or something a bit more quirky!
If it’s a beautiful barn conversion, we have plenty of options available in our local area. Here’s a quick guide to some of our favourites …
Carsawsan
A picturesque two-bedroom stone barn conversion, old charm meets modern and styling decor at Carsawsan. The white-painted walls and ceiling beams bring light to the cosy space and historic features, with a wood-burning stove to complete the atmosphere!
The accommodation is all on one level and you enter from the garden terrace. Both bedrooms are comfortably furnished; the double room with a king-size bed has an en-suite shower room, and the twin bedroom has an en-suite with a bath and shower overhead.
All the rooms overlook the private enclosed garden, which has a barbecue, as well as a sunken fire pit. There is ample parking here for two cars and a hard standing for boats. Beautifully secluded, the only neighbours are the owners of the main house nearby. From 2025, this property is also accepting up to 2 dogs!

Swallow Barn
Tucked away down a private lane, Swallow Barn is one half of this beautifully restored Cornish Stone barn, with a modern white interior and large windows as well as a contemporary log-burning stove. The accommodation is all on one level, with beautiful oak flooring continuing into the comfortable double bedroom with a 5ft double bed and a fully tiled en-suite bathroom with bathtub! It has a private, enclosed garden and the property is dog friendly.
This cottage is in an outstandingly peaceful location, shared with Swift Barn next door. Tucked away down a private lane, the cottages are just a short walk down to Restronguet Creek with a pleasant waterside footpath leading along to the Pandora Inn.

Swift Barn
Similar in style to Swallow Barn, this is a modern conversion sleeping two people in a double bedroom, as well as being dog-friendly. The living space has both a log burning stove and a flat-screen TV, with characterful wooden beams in the high vaulted ceiling. The gravelled terrace and grassy garden provide the perfect place to relax and enjoy warm summer evenings and tasty barbecues (included with the property), or a safe space for pups to play whilst you cosy up by the fire in the colder months!
Both properties have ample parking, with a hard-standing beside the cottage for a dinghy or boat trailer if required. Mylor Yacht Harbour is close by for launching, or visit the sailing school or watersports centre for boat, paddleboard and canoe hire.

Lawithick Barn
A luxury, white stone-walled coastal barn conversion on the edge of Mylor Yacht Harbour, this is one of our most picturesque barn conversion holiday cottages! Once inside, enjoy the beamed living room with comfy sofa, wood-burning stove and oak floor. French doors lead to a small courtyard garden where long summer days can be enjoyed while eating alfresco or simply enjoying the tranquillity the area affords.
This property has a double and a twin room, with parking for two cars (enviable in the central harbour location!) A truly idyllic location perfect for a relaxing break away, this holiday property is so well cared for, and adjacent to the owners’ own home.

Rhino’s Barn
Perfect for two people, Rhino’s Barn is perfectly proportioned with vaulted beamed wooden ceilings, brick walls and plenty of wood panelling! It’s tucked away in the waterside hamlet of Restronguet with the 13th Century Pandora Inn only 100 yards away.
The entrance is via the garden, into an open plan kitchen and living room with windows on four sides with garden and water views. A wooden spiral staircase leads down to the hall and the ground floor entrance door.
A main feature is the nearby quay and ease of launching kayaks or paddleboards, as well as small boats!
Dogs are welcome at this cottage, and it has a small, peaceful garden to relax in. The village of Mylor Bridge just over the hill offers a good selection of small local shops, a pub and a new cafe.
