Overview

Swallow Barn is the left half of this beautifully restored Cornish Stone Barn, with Swift Barn being the other half.

This cottage is in an outstandingly peaceful location tucked away down a private lane having beautiful views across open countryside, just a short walk down to Restronguet Creek with the footpath leading along to the Pandora Inn.

It is situated just outside the picturesque creekside village of Mylor Bridge, which has a selection of good shops and an excellent pub.

Detailed Description

Almost equal distance between Falmouth and the Cathedral City of Truro, the cottages are ideally located for discovering all that Cornwall has to offer. There are gardens within easy reach, including Trelissick, Trebah, and Glendurgan, and Mylor Harbour is close by, which has a bustling marina, sailing school, watersports centre, and boat and canoe rental (there is hard-standing beside the cottage for a dinghy or boat trailer if required).

The cottage is ideally placed to explore the rugged cliffs, sandy coves and fishing villages of the Lizard Peninsula. The Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are within an hour’s drive.

The spacious accommodation is all on one level, comfortable living room with a wall-hung flat-screen smart television, with a welcoming wood-burning stove, along with the dining area and the fitted and well-equipped kitchen area, with gas hob and electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Throughout, Oak flooring continues into the comfortable double bedroom with a 5ft double bed, with a fully tiled en-suite bathroom, bath, shower above, toilet, and wash hand basin.

The gravelled terrace and garden outside provide the perfect spot to relax and enjoy those warm summer evenings and tasty barbecues.
