Wedding Venues Near Falmouth
It is always such a pleasure when we welcome wedding parties to our holiday cottages, whether it’s family, friends, the bridal party, or the groomsmen, it’s an honour to be part of your special day!
We know that people have often travelled that bit further to attend a wedding in Cornwall, and may be making a weekend or a week’s holiday out of the occasion. With accommodation often booking up well in advance, we would love to help make sure that all your guests have somewhere to stay when they gather to celebrate with you.
If you’re still deciding on the venue, there are so many to choose from in this well-loved part of Cornwall. We have put together a selection which includes big and small, outdoor and indoor, glamorous and rustic! We hope you find what you’re looking for…
Restronguet Barton
Restronguet Barton is the closest venue to our Mylor cottages, and hosts stunning marquee weddings with amazing water views over the Carrick Roads. Sheltered from the prevailing winds and yet sun-soaked in the summer evenings, we have had several guests attend beautiful weddings here over the summer season, and it is just a stone’s throw across the fields from some of our properties.
Enys Gardens
Enys Gardens is a former grand house being rusticly restored to a stunning events venue set within its own spectacular gardens. Just 10 minutes from Flushing and Mylor, this is a popular choice for weddings near Falmouth! Three inside areas are licensed for weddings, and the rest of the party can take place outdoors in the extensive grounds, or in the old mansion house.
The Greenbank Hotel
The Greenbank Hotel is a classically beautiful waterside location which looks over towards Flushing, where many of our cottages are based. You could even arrive in Falmouth by the passenger foot ferry! With the more formal hotel above, and The Working Boat pub below, you have a choice of styles and both are next to the ‘Greenbank’ grassy area overlooking the harbour, which would be perfect for photos. If you prefer a beach-side venue, their sister hotel ‘The Falmouth’ also does weddings and overlooks Castle Beach and the Falmouth Bay.
Trefusis Estate
Trefusis Estate hosts a small number of marquee and tipi weddings each year, pairing up with the Little Cornish Wedding Company to bring special days together on this impressive site between Flushing and Mylor. Still run by the same Trefusis family, we love that they are hosting weddings as part of their modern day diversification of the estate, alongside sustainable agriculture, community groups and a small commercial market garden called ‘Soul Farm’.
Scorrier House
Scorrier House is a stunning country house set on its own estate near Truro. With years of history and a rolling parkland of 400 acres, this is an impressive venue for larger weddings and parties. It doubles as an intimate festival venue for The Great Estate each June, and is well loved by locals and visitors alike. Your wedding reception could even include use of the gorgeous swimming pool, sauna and hot tub!
Castaways
Castaways Restaurant is one of our favourite marine-side venues and they offer exclusive hire for weddings of up to 100 guests. Situated in Mylor Churchtown itself, some of our cottages are on the same lane as the venue and couldn’t be more convenient for hosting families who have come down to join in on the occasion! Their chefs specialise in sustainable seafood and local produce, which you could even try out by going for dinner if you’re visiting Cornwall on a pre-wedding recce! Many couples choose to have their wedding ceremony at the picturesque Mylor Church, before walking just minutes to the restaurant for the reception.
Coastland
Coastland campsite and events centre is a reasonably new waterside outdoor venue within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, atop a lush green hill and overlooking the tranquil waters of the Carrick Roads! Here in Mylor itself, we can’t imagine a better place to spend your special day and then wander home to one of our many local cottages in the village, for those who don’t fancy sleeping under canvas!
Princess Pavilions
Princess Pavilions in the centre of Falmouth allows for a beautiful courtyard occasion with views of the sea and indoor-outdoor spaces to soak up the atmosphere. The iconic bandstand is beautiful for photos and dancing the night away, or perhaps your musicians will set up there and join the likes of many before them who have played to happy crowds in the pavilion gardens! A favourite community venue, many people will have fond memories here, from the Sea Shanty Festival to Wanderfal to Christmas concerts!
Nancarrow Farm
Nancarrow Farm near Truro is also well known for spectacular hospitality: their signature ‘farm-to-table feast’ features beef and lamb raised on-site, and vegetables, fruits, and herbs from their gardens and orchards. Menus highlight seasonal, local produce and the decor is rustic and sustainable too, with an environmental awareness throughout. For larger weddings, this is a must-consider!
Treseren
Treseren is an intimate elopement venue, which won the 2024 and 2025 ‘National Historic Wedding Venue of the Year’ from the TWIA Awards. Ceremonies can accommodate up to 22 guests, with both indoor and outdoor options. You can even exchange vows beneath a centuries-old walnut tree or a moongate arch on the front lawn.
Cornish Tipi Weddings
Cornish Tipi Weddings celebrate the outdoors and the quirky festival-style wedding, with a small lakeside pontoon for ceremonies and receptions in the marquee meadow. Enjoy the ‘big lawn for croquet or drinks, outdoor cinema, or a chill-out space with central fire pit for toasting marshmallows after dark. Later, candles in paper lanterns and tiny lights shine softly across the music and dancing.’ Atmosphere is everything here, and they have thought of every detail!
Pendennis Castle
The historic Pendennis Castle on the headland also hosts magnificent weddings, with an option to choose between the historic Castle Keep or one of the three banqueting rooms within the stunningly renovated Edwardian Royal Artillery Barracks. Add a sense of grandeur to the day by heading to the highest point in town for a big occasion!
