Detailed Description
The accommodation is reversed, although, on the first floor, the access is from the front door, as the house is built into the side of a hill. A large entrance hall leads to the spacious living room, with comfortable sofas, a wood-burning stove, colour television, DVD player and fibre optic superfast broadband.
The fully equipped modern kitchen has an electric double oven, induction hob, a large larder fridge, separate freezer, microwave, airfryer, two dishwashers, a large refectory dining table, a small sitting area and a television with panoramic water views. In the back porch is a tumble dryer with the back door giving access to the garden.
Downstairs are the three bedrooms, the master with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom, with a bath, separate shower, toilet, and wash hand basin. The further two bedrooms, both with twin beds, a shower room with access from the garden, toilet, wash hand basin, and washing machine. Oil-fired central heating throughout the house.
Outside, the garden has been landscaped with a wooded area to the rear and lawns leading to the water’s edge but having privacy, perfect for those lazy days. The furnished patio with BBQ overlooks the waters of the Carrick Roads. There is ample parking for many cars, boat storage, and a shingle beach to swim, paddleboard and launch small boats. The gardens were the original site of the Restronguet Sailing Club.
Launching & recovering small boats are permitted on the understanding; trailers, dinghies, boats, SUPs, kayaks and vehicles are not left on the beach at any time.
At Mylor Yacht Harbour, just a short drive away, there is a good seafood restaurant, a wine bar and excellent water sports facilities, along with boat hire and sailing schools.
The house is perfectly placed for all that Cornwall has to offer, from the magnificent coastline and beaches, to glorious gardens, castles, and museums all to explore.
