Overview

An attractive, 4-bedroom, period cottage in an exceptionally peaceful position, with outstanding views over Restronguet Creek and the Carrick Roads. The property adjoins a private shingle beach, suitable for launching small boats, only by prior permission. A deepwater mooring is also available.

The 13th-century Pandora Inn is reached by a short walk along the Creekside footpath. Access involves crossing a tidal beach, over which unusually high tides can limit passage by car for short periods. The path from the garage crosses a sunny, sloping garden to a flat lawn area in front of the cottage – perfect for evening barbecues.

Detailed Description

A porch leads to the main sitting room with an open fire, a television DVD and video and Sky. Stairs lead to the first floor. On the ground floor is a second sitting room – CD stereo, a small study, a large kitchen/dining room with a built-in fridge, oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave, with French windows to the garden. A utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer, along with a separate cloakroom.

Upstairs, all four bedrooms have views over the water. The master bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom. The second bathroom contains a bath and wash hand basin; across the corridor is a shower room with a wash hand basin and toilet. There is a separate toilet with a wash hand basin. Of the three remaining bedrooms, one has a double bed with a wash hand basin, and the others have twin beds – one with a wash hand basin.

Also upstairs, there is an additional reception room with a sofa and Sky television with a door leading out onto the rear terrace. The room can accommodate 2 extra guests with the sofa converting to a bed

There is oil-fired central heating throughout.

Launching & recovering small boats are permitted on the understanding that trailers, dinghies, boats, SUPs, kayaks and vehicles are not left on the beach at any time.
