Although adjoining the owner’s own property, it enjoys complete privacy for guests.

Ideally situated Ivy Cottage is only a short drive from the bustling creekside village of Mylor Bridge, the sailing waters of the Carrick roads, the vibrant harbour town of Falmouth and the historic city of Truro.

Mylor Bridge itself is nestled amongst the tree-lined creeks and rivers of the Fal. This friendly village has a thriving community with excellent local amenities, including a well-stocked general store, butcher, fishmonger, newsagent, post office and a traditional village pub.

Detailed Description

On arriving to Ivy Cottage, you are welcomed by your own private driveway leading down to the cottage, offering your first glimpse of the beautiful surrounding countryside and the peaceful grounds.

Ground Floor

Entering the cottage through the rear door, you step into the thoughtfully designed kitchen, which is cleverly divided into two areas to maximise space.

The versatile preparation and utility area features a traditional Belfast sink and cupboards stocked with all the crockery and utensils you may need during your stay. A step leads into the second section of the kitchen, equipped with a two-ring hob, a combination microwave oven, an under-counter fridge freezer and an air fryer, providing everything required for convenient cooking.

Just off the kitchen is the spacious shower room for the cottage, complete with a shower, toilet and hand wash basin.

At the front of the cottage, the welcoming sitting room opens up with the wide bi-fold doors, seamlessly connecting the indoors with the surrounding nature. This is the perfect spot to relax while watching the abundant birdlife in the garden. The room features comfortable seating, a television, a cosy wood-burning stove and a dining area. The bi-fold doors lead out onto the terrace seating area and garden beyond.

First Floor

The original cottage staircase leads you up to a cosy landing area, an ideal place to curl up with a book while daydreaming over the field views through the window.

From here, you will find the cottage’s two comfortable double bedrooms, each offering a peaceful space to unwind after a day exploring.

Driveway 

Please be aware that the parking area is along a narrow driveway and exiting from this area in your car can be a little challenging for drivers not confident in reversing in a restricted space. The parking area is about a 50m walk along the driveway from the accommodation.
