Egret Cottage is an end-terrace cottage full of character, which has been gorgeously restored based and boasts exposed stone walls in several rooms, a fireplace housing a wood burner in the sitting room and a newly fitted kitchen with granite worktops.

This delightful period Cornish cottage retains many of its original features, which have been gorgeously updated, and is full of character nestling in the picturesque harbourside village of Flushing. The house nestles in the heart of this lovely village, situated across the river from Falmouth, to which there is a passenger ferry from Flushing Quay. It is just a fantastic setting with a brilliant pub, a quayside restaurant and a village store.

Detailed Description

The entrance hallway has beautiful parquet-style timber flooring, leading to the sitting room, which contains slate flag-style flooring with a television, a cosy wood burner, and exposed stonework walls. The kitchen has shaker-style white units with polished granite work surfaces, a single electric oven, a ceramic hob, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave and a dining table.

The utility area has a washing machine and a cloakroom with a toilet and a washbasin located at the back of the cottage. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms, one double & one twin, along with the family bathroom, with bath, separate electric shower, wash hand basin & toilet. At the back of the cottage, steps lead up to the terraced garden, with a patio area, BBQ and garden furniture.

Being only a 3-minute walk from the water’s edge and 10 minutes from Kiln Quay Beach. There is a splendid circular walk from the village via Kiln Quay Beach, ideal for children, around Trefusis headland to Mylor Harbour. Here you will find a busy marina, launching facilities, sailing school, boat hire and a water sports centre. Flushing makes an excellent base for boat enthusiasts and is just the perfect spot for a family holiday.
