Best Places in Falmouth for Christmas Cocktails
We know that Cornwall is full of rustic charm and cosy pubs, but did you also know that Falmouth is also home to a number of places to go for cocktails and dress up a little bit during the festive season? If you’re coming to one of our holiday cottages for Christmas and New Year, here are some suggestions of best places in Falmouth for Christmas cocktails!
The Orgia
A tiny wine bar that would be easy to miss if you didn’t know where to look. The Orgia is nestled in Falmouth’s Church Street and whilst it specialises in wine, the cocktails are worth writing home about too! Some favourites include Sherry Margarita, French Peach, Elderflower Martini, Vegroni, Smoked and Stormy and Red Light in Paris. The atmosphere is lovely and food is always delicious too, so we never hesitate to recommend!
The Orgia
The Greenbank Hotel
The Greenbank sits just beyond Falmouth’s old high street, perched on the water’s edge overlooking the harbour – a beautiful spot. They have a special Christmas Cocktail Menu which includes: Champagne Snowball, Festive Bakewell, Rudolph’s Revenge, The Gingerbread and Toffee Apple. Ideal for a classy venue, and very welcoming to non-residents for both drinks and dinner.
The Greenbank Hotel
Indidog
Another waterside location, the Indidog cocktail menu “features classics using premium big brand spirits, and we also love to hero our local artisan distilleries.” The mouth-watering list also includes Mocktails and Coolers for the driver or non-drinkers in your group, making sure that everybody feels special, whatever the occasion. They also have an offer at the moment where you can book a 6pm dinner table and arrive at 5pm for pre dinner 2 for £12 cocktails.

Kona
A fun, modern, ‘island-style’ restaurant and bar in Falmouth’s Events Square, Kona brings warmth and vibrancy to a winter’s evening – and that’s before you’ve even sipped your drinks! Their cocktail menu includes Mai Tai, The Drunken Sea Monkey, The Juggler’s Libre, Hawaiian Sunset, Spicy K Margarita and a Spiced Apple and Elderflower Gin Fizz! Mocktails are also available, as well as their statement poké bowls and full lunch and evening menus.
Kona
Harbour House
Just across the water in Flushing, the Harbour House may be even closer for some of our holiday cottage guests, if you’re staying in the village or in Mylor. This newly renovated restaurant has quickly become a go-to destination in the local area, and their cocktail menu looks as delicious as the food. Choose from Sloe Negroni, Espresso Martini, Picante, Lychee Martini, Spiced Daquiri, Pear Sour, Cherry Manhattan, Paloma or Smoked Old Fashioned. Cheers!
Harbour House
Java
A new cocktail bar in Falmouth’s Events Square, we haven’t visited this one ourselves yet, but we like the look of the extensive cocktail menu, and the 2 for £14 special offer every day from 5pm-7pm. You’ll have to pop in and tell us what you think so we can recommend it to our guests!

St Michael’s Hotel
Overlooking Gyllyngvase Beach, the lovely St Michael’s Hotel has a beautiful bar area which is open to all. Their drinks menu is full to the brim with Highballs, Coupes, ‘On the Rocks’, Classic Cocktails, and Mocktails too. They also have a 2 for £15 offer, everyday between 3-6pm – we can imagine a very well spent afternoon of indulgence – and why not combine with a trip to the spa!? Falmouth really does have it all on offer!
St Michael’s Hotel
Chintz Bar
For more of a party vibe and an eclectic mix of ‘who knows what’ entertainment you might find, head to the Chintz bar on Falmouth’s Old High Street. They are known for their delicious cocktails, the more weird and wonderful the better…
